Ask Ayurveda: How can I avoid feeling overwhelmed in my Ayurvedic routine?

“I am an avid follower of Ayurveda for over 3 years now.  I have been trying my best to incorporate the routine and practices that will balance my Kapha (my main dosha).  I have noticed so many great changes in my health so far, including losing 10 pounds without even dieting.  I typically am pretty good at keeping to my Ayurvedic routine, however, I can sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed trying to follow so many rules at once.  I usually do a really good job for a couple weeks, but soon I begin to feel overwhelmed and anxious which then leads me to want to give up on everything.  How can I be strict about following a routine in a more balanced way?  My perfectionist nature wants me to do everything 100%, but sometimes I feel more stressed out by this than anything.  Do you have any tips on how I can make these positive changes in my life without this feeling of “all or nothing”?  Thanks for your time and all of your insightful articles (I am a regular reader of yours)!”  Overwhelmed in Ayurveda Continue reading »
