Hello dear friends of Svastha Ayurveda,
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of our online apothecary shop. Our final day for sales will be May 2nd, 2021. There has been many factors that have led me to this decision, but in the end, it seems like the Universe has been pushing me in this direction for some time, and as much as I like to think that I am in charge, I am humbly bowing down and listening to this guidance.
This past year has led us on a rollercoaster of events, and although our sales are better than ever, this has not come without much stress and hardship. Since COVID began, we have been experiencing severe issues trying to keep our stock in line due to our supply sources becoming unavailable, sometimes for months at a time. This coincided with the dramatic increase in pricing of ingredients, supplies, and shipping costs, making it extremely hard for us to offer affordable products and still keep above water. The ongoing unreliability of the US postal service over the last year has only been the icing on the cake, resulting in countless delays, lost packages, and reshipments (at our expense).
Besides the added stress that COVID has created, there is the fact that I have been too busy to see clients since giving birth to my son 2½ years ago. Although I have managed to juggle quite a bit since then, I simply have not found the space and energy that I need to hold for my clients. It has been slowly becoming a reality that things are only getting busier, and sadly, working with clients was seeming to become a distant dream. With this realization, I felt that change had to happen in order for me to make what is most important to me a priority again.
Therefore, Svastha Ayurveda is not closing as a whole, but rather transitioning into a new chapter. Although this change is bitter-sweet, overall I am beyond excited and have been ready for a new path for some time (whether I knew it or not). I will soon be able to write new articles and create new recipes more frequently, and I will begin seeing clients again starting in mid-May 2021. I will continue to work with herbal medicine, however, on a much smaller and simpler scale, offering personal products for those that I am working with one-on-one.
I hope you know that I appreciate each and every one that has supported me over the years. Whether you enjoy the articles and recipes that I have shared, or you are a supporter of our products, I appreciate you all the same. I am beyond grateful for this journey that I have been on and feel blessed to continue on this path, even if in a slightly different direction. I feel honored to have come across Ayurveda in this lifetime, and as I continue to learn and grow with this ancient science, I hope you will continue to walk with me!
