Nasya is not recommended on a full stomach, directly before exercise, during high fever, during a nose bleed, or at times of breathing difficulties such as asthma attacks.
It is always recommended to consult with your doctor or physician before starting any new herbal regimen, especially if any diseases are present or prescription medications are currently being taken.
General Directions
Nidra Nasya should be applied up to 15 to 20 minutes before the desired bedtime. It can also be applied throughout the night, during an unwanted awakening.
Slightly warm the oil by placing the bottle in warm water for several minutes. Avoid using excessively hot water as it can crack the glass bottle or overheat the oil.
Lie down and tilt the head back slightly. Apply 1 to 5 drops of the oil into each nostril. Take a large inhale through each nostril. Keep the head back for 2 to 3 minutes, letting the oil penetrate into the sinus cavity.
This oil is generally not intended for daytime use; however, it can be applied anytime there is high anxiety or panic to help calm and relax the body and mind.
